Timeline Chart

Start the lesson by explaining how timelines are a good way to visualize the major events in a given period of time, such as during a war or over the course of someone's life.

Model a timeline using each Post-it® Super Sticky Notes to represent the stages of a child's life. Hand out a set of illustrated Post-it® Super Sticky Notes. Each should show an important milestone as well as the date of each event. Have your students place them on a whiteboard, wall or board in the correct chronological order.

Ask your students make a timeline of their own life. Each Post-it® Super Sticky Note will contain important dates, starting with their birth and working up to the present. Students have to record the most important things or events in their life. (e. g. lost tooth, new sibling, etc).

Have your students present their timeline to the class.
