Here are a few simple shower activity ideas using Post-it® Products, so you can keep the work to a minimum and just focus on celebrating with your guest of honor.
Here’s a fun twist on an old baby shower favorite. Start by compiling a list of baby-related words, for example:
Write the words in large letters on Post-it® Super Sticky Notes, with one letter on each note. Then, scramble the letters of each word, posting a set of five or six scrambled words to the wall for each guest. The first guest to unscramble their set of words wins the game.
On a blank wall space, create a simple bar graph using Post-it® Full Adhesive Roll. Next to the vertical line of the chart, write “Boy” and “Girl.”
When guests arrive, they can help fill in the chart by adding a blue Post-it® Super Sticky Notes to the chart if they think it’s a boy, and a pink Post-it® Super Sticky Note if they think it’s a girl. Ask the guests to write words of wisdom or advice to the new mom and sign their name to the note before they attach it to the wall. Later, you can put all of these notes in a memory book for the new mom to keep.
Before the wedding shower, come up with a list of questions to ask both the bride and the groom, and then record their answers on a sheet of paper. Create voting paddles for the wedding shower guests by attaching two Post-it® Super Sticky Notes back to back on a popsicle stick or skewer: one color for the bride and one color for the groom.
At the shower, read each question and then read only one of the answers. Guests will use their voting paddles to guess if the answer was given by the bride or the groom.
Hand each guest three Post-it® Super Sticky Notes, and instruct them to write one thing about the bride on each note. Two of the things they write should be true, and one should be a lie.
When they’re finished writing, post each set of three notes on the wall. Read through each set of notes as a group, giving everyone a chance to guess which one of the notes in the set is the lie.
With these simple ideas, you can get some of the shower planning out of the way. Then you can relax, enjoy the shower and focus on celebrating the occasion.
