Help kids express their emotions with a Post-it® Note feelings chart
Recognizing and naming feelings is part of a child's social and emotional development. Here's an activity you can use to help your child start to understand and identify emotions. You can even use it to talk together about how to express feelings in positive ways.

What you need:
1 – 22" x 22" Post-it® Big Pad
1 pack of 3" x 3" Post-it® Super Sticky Notes, any color
1 marker

What to do:
1. Pull out a page of the Post-it® Big Pad and write "How [insert your child's name] feels right now" at the top.

2. Draw a face and hair outline that matches your child.

3. Start drawing faces that reflect different emotions on the Post-it® Super Sticky Notes. Talk together about different feelings people experience, and what each feeling looks like.

4. Place the Post-it® Notes around the edge of the page, and label each one.

5. Stick your page to the wall in the kitchen or bedroom—somewhere you and your child can easily see it!

6. Have your kiddo switch out the feeling on the chart as it changes to reflect what they feel.
